Pachira

The Pachira aquatica features slender trunks braided together and they create a tropical feel around the space they are kept in. It has many names including Provision Tree, Saba Chestnut, Malabar Chestnut, Guinea Chestnut, and French Peanut. Because of the twisted or braided stem, the plant makes any space grand and tropical. They are also native to Central and South America and contain medicinal properties. 

The bark of the tree is said to cure stomachaches and headaches. The leaves when crushed and applied to the skin reduce inflammation. Many Asian countries kept the plant in the owner’s space for good luck and fortune. It slowly also becomes an integral part of businesses or commercial spaces. The culinary industry is also fond of this plant as the seeds are used in making breads, beverages, etc.
