Crown of thorn

The Crown of Thorns is the most used name for the plant Euphorbia milii and is a succulent shrub native to Madagascar. The plant is known for its spiny stems and vibrant flowers, which can be red, pink, yellow, or white in color. Historically, It is believed to be the type of plant used to make the crown worn by Jesus Christ during his crucifixion. It was thus given the name ‘crown of thorn’. 

The plant bears tiny, vibrant colorful flowers that bloom in clusters. The flowers can be white, pink, red, or yellow, depending on the variety. They are surrounded by bracts, which are modified leaves that resemble petals. The bracts are often more colorful than the flowers themselves, adding to the plant's visual appeal.
