About the Product
Pandanus Amaryllifolius, commonly known as the Red-Spined Pandanus, Red-Leaf Screw Pine, or Red-Edge Pandanus, is a tropical evergreen shrub or small tree. It is native to south-east Asia especially Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The leaves are also called Basmati leaves due to their aromatic resemblance to basmati rice.
The plant grows as a single-stemmed shrub or tree, but can also develop multiple stems.
It features leaves that are long, narrow, and strap-like, often with reddish-brown margins and spines. The plant also receives small, white flowers that appear in clusters on long stalks. The plant also holds culinary benefits as many cuisines especially Asian ones include pandan leaves in their dishes.
